Fees and Payment Options

Everything you need to know about paying for your acupuncture and oriental medicine experience.

Fees
  • Standard Fee – $85
This is the average going rate for a 60 to 75 minute acupuncture session in the Austin area. This covers all services that are performed during your acupuncture session. Herbs are extra.
  • Discounts
I know not everyone who needs medical help can pay the standard fee, so I do offer sliding scale payment for those that need it. You may choose a discounted rate between $85 and $45. You do not need to submit paperwork or justify this to me in any way. Determine what you can do financially within this range and balance that with how much you appreciate the service that is given to you. If you find you still cannot afford my lowest rate, please consider going to South Austin Community Acupuncture Clinic. They’re good people. The setting is not private.
  • Pay it Forward
Because I offer discounts to those in need, I also offer those who have abundance in their finances the opportunity to give more than the standard rate. I will apply this toward the folks who need the discounts. I accept Pay It Forward rates of $90-$120. If you have the means and the willingness, please consider this.
Payment Options
  • Cash
  • Checks
  • Debit Cards
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • TexFlex, Flextra, HSA (Health Savings) cards
Check with your plan administrator to verify that acupuncture is covered. I haven’t encountered one in which it was not, but it could happen. The treatment session is usually covered, though herbs are not.
Insurance?

I do not take insurance, but I will happily provide a super bill with the proper coding so that you can file with your insurance provider for reimbursement. Many plans will also allow you to use these costs toward your plan deductible.
